Music will fill Water Street with multiple performances across eight stages during the free Beats on the Street festival on Oct. 4. From mid-afternoon until night, performers will keep the crowds moving for six straight hours.
Fresh off their new album Enemies, Miami's Magic City Hippies take the main stage. The lineup adds Philadelphia's mix master Cosmo Baker and rising voice Kelsey Hickman from Illinois to the mix.
Tampa's own stars step into the spotlight, too. The city's Indie Night voice Rohna takes the mic, while Judyanne Jackson brings her songs to life. Watch for the one-time pairing of Chris Flowers and Joe Cosas: a must-see set.
With help from the minds behind Gasparilla Music Festival, this show puts Tampa Bay talent front and center. At the bars, your drinks do good: the money helps put instruments in kids' hands through Recycled Tunes.
The beats spill into the streets with more than just music. Step into a silent disco and pick your groove. Both young and old can try their hand at making sounds at the hands-on music station.
Art comes alive as ten creators work their magic right there on site. Browse through old-school threads and festival goods at the shop. Between songs, watch dancers turn the streets into their stage.
Year three brings this bash back to Water Street. The fun spreads from Water Street clear to Sparkman Wharf: just head to 971 Water Street. The music will start at 3 p.m. and is free for all.
