Starting Oct. 26, buses in Pinellas County will run on fresh paths. The Connected Community Bus Network cuts travel time and adds more weekend trips. St. Petersburg riders will notice big changes in how they move around town.

Five main routes will zip by every 20 minutes. Buses will meet up at stations in St. Petersburg, Pinellas Park, Largo, and Clearwater. Smart scheduling means less waiting between rides.

Popular lines stay put: like the SunRunner that zips between downtown St. Petersburg and the beach. But many other routes will run more often and link up better with main stops.

Weekend service gets a big boost. This helps late-shift workers get between St. Petersburg and Clearwater when other options are scarce. No more long waits on Saturdays and Sundays.

The new setup means fewer stops at big stations. Straight shots replace old zigzag routes. What used to take two or three bus switches might now need just one ride.

Students at Eckerd College will soon catch the new Spark line. This quick service runs to Grand Central Station and meets up with SunRunner buses. It makes campus trips much simpler for students and staff alike.

Until Oct. 26, buses stick to their old routes. Got questions? Send them to ccbn@psta.net: the transit team wants to help with the switch.

Check PSTA's website for new maps and times. They've posted clear guides to help plan trips on the updated system. Each route shows exactly where and when buses will go.
