This weekend, the waters off Clearwater Beach will roar with raw power. Ninety speed machines will slice through Gulf waves at the 2025 XINSURANCE Offshore Nationals. These water rockets blast past spectators at a mind-bending 150 mph.
With the World Championships looming in Key West this November, crews will push their limits on the 2.5-mile track. Massive vessels, some as long as a semi-truck, will battle in multiple classes for the national crown.
Want the best view? The action unfolds right by Pier 60, with boats thundering past just 100 yards from shore. Pick your spot on the sand, watch from the pier, or join the flotilla of spectator craft ringing the course.
Saturday's schedule starts hot. Qualifying runs begin at 1 p.m. Next up: Brackets 2, 4, and 5 hit the water at 1:30 p.m. The mighty PRO Class 1 machines take control at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday cranks up the intensity with five back-to-back contests. At noon, Brackets 6 and 7 mix it up with Mod V and Cat 300 classes. Factory Stock takes over at 12:45 p.m. Super Cat storms in at 1:45 p.m. Super Stock strikes at 2:30 p.m. The day peaks with PRO Class 1 at 3:30 p.m.
Starlite Cruises offers front-row seats on the water. Beachside hotels plan big viewing events. At Shephard's Beach Resort, DJs keep the beat pumping through the weekend.
Best part? Watching costs nothing. Getting there's a snap: catch the Jolley Trolley between Pier 60 and Sand Key Park, where teams prep their machines. The Suncoast Beach Trolley connects to other beach spots.
Pay for your ride with a quick tap, the Flamingo Fares app, or exact change. These options cut traffic jams during the three-day speed fest.
