Water Street Tampa To Host Free Holiday Kickoff Event With 300,000 Lights

Water Street Tampa launches its 4th Annual Season Spectacular on Friday, Nov. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. More than 300,000 lights will blanket the streets. The free gathering starts the winter festivities.

Live shows await visitors. Holiday snacks and beverages will be available throughout the district. Strollers will enjoy live carolers, window performers, a holiday-themed silent disco, pictures with Santa, and even kid's arts and crafts workshops. Kids snap pictures with Santa or dive into arts and crafts sessions.

A 30-foot tree stands at the center. Garlands, ornaments, and twinkling strands drape every corner.

Holiday cocktails and sweet bites tempt adults who stroll through. The Holiday Glow Lounge in Via Corazon transforms into a dance floor for those craving movement and music.

Bar proceeds support the Children's Dream Fund. This Tampa Bay nonprofit grants wishes to children facing serious illnesses.

Lights and the towering tree remain up after kickoff night. Water Street Tampa schedules more performances and gatherings in coming weeks.

Shops, eateries, and taverns display seasonal offerings and decorations. Plans extend through this December.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 9 p.m., The Holiday Promenade arrives. Forty local creators and craftspeople bring handmade goods to this free market.

Visitors browse knits, candles, jewelry, paintings, and gourmet food. German holiday markets inspired the setup.

Snow falls during the December gathering. Lights glow while musicians play seasonal melodies. Mulled wine, hot cocoa, and festive snacks warm shoppers. Anyone can attend without paying admission.

Carolers sing on Wednesdays — Dec. 3, 10, and 17 — from 5 to 8 p.m. Living Holiday Windows appear on Fridays: Dec. 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.
