Bakery 1908 opened at 2788 E. Fowler Ave. on Nov. 13. Tampa now has access to Asian pastries, dim sum, and drinks. The shop moved into a space once held by another bakery.

Before coming to the Bay Area, the business earned praise as Orlando's top-rated Asian bakery. Handcrafted sweet buns built its reputation — matcha, lemon, and pineapple were among the flavors that drew crowds. Cheesecake slices sat alongside steamed and pan-fried dim sum.

Tampa's spot carries everything the Orlando store offers. Buns filled with cream cheese or red bean? They're here. Cakes topped with drizzle, ham-and-cheese rolls, and milk teas spiked with alcohol round out the menu. Strawberry Cream Buns and Black Sesame Loafs are available too.

Fresh-baked loaves and pastries come out throughout the day. Per That's So Tampa, the shop has been described it as a "carb paradise" rather than your standard bakery.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. They close at 8:00 p.m. This happens seven days a week. The shop sits near Fletcher, so people can grab morning brunch or swing by after work.

Sweet Buns used to occupy this space. Now Bakery 1908 gives Tampa residents what made the brand a hit in Orlando.
