New in the neighborhood, the French bistro Bread & Vine is now open at Westchase Town Center in Tampa at 9648 W Linebaugh Ave. This marks the third location for the restaurant, adding to its existing spots in Illinois.

The bistro is the creation of Eric Bonnetain, a Parisian who learned the business at his family’s eateries in Paris. "Bread & Vine was built to bring people together over exceptional food in a relaxed, welcoming space," Bonnetain told Patch.

Two weeks ago, Bread & Vine had a soft opening in Tampa. People gather every day for freshly baked croissants and coffee in the morning, while evenings bring hearty entrees and craft cocktails. Operating hours are from 9 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.

The menu combines global favorites with a French touch. Diners can enjoy ramen from Asia, pizza from Italy, cubanitos from Cuba, croquetas from Miami, and gyros from Greece. Offerings also include angus steak tartare, poutine, Roman pinsa, and pork belly tacos.

Of course, French classics are also on the menu. Items like Croque-Monsieur, Moroccan lamb sausage sandwiches, and Foie Gras au Torchon await those craving traditional dishes. The dessert list, quite extensive, includes over 20 macaron flavors, housemade quiches, turnovers, and pain au chocolat.

The bar serves wine, beer, and craft cocktails all day. Bonnetain’s expertise with French pastries, sandwiches, and wines shines in the bar's offerings.
