Lolis Tacos started as one small shop. Now it runs five spots plus a food truck around Tampa Bay. This local eatery makes Mexican dishes from scratch and has fans who come back for handmade tacos, sopes, tamales, and quesabirria.
Every Tuesday brings a deal. Buy two tacos, get one free all day. The offer works on any tacos served with corn tortillas.
All meat gets prepared on site. The menu lists about a dozen choices that appear as tacos, sopes, and bowls. Workers make items from the ground up — handmade tortillas, fresh-squeezed juices, churros, queso dip, and salsas.
Sopes use a thick corn base that's fried and piled with marinated meats, sauces, and vegetables. The carnitas version has pulled pork, refried beans, lettuce, avocado, and queso fresco on top.
Quesadillas cook on a flattop. Quesabirria tacos arrive with house-made consommé for dipping.
Tamales get crafted on site using ground masa that's stuffed, wrapped, steamed, and brought out in the husk. The pork tamale holds tender pork with red sauce, plus extra dipping sauce on the side.
The business handles catering gigs for events and parties. The food truck rolls out to local festivals and gatherings around the region.
Four spots sit in Tampa at 8005 Benjamin Road, 3324 W Gandy Blvd. Suite 2, 10011 W. Hillsborough Ave., and 1824 N. Westshore Blvd.
