Tampa Bay flower shops will hit their second-busiest week as Valentine's Day arrives this Saturday. The area has more than a dozen spots where customers can grab fresh-cut blooms, from storefronts to trucks that visit different places.

According to That's So Tampa.com, Valentine's Day trails only Mother's Day when it comes to florist traffic. Roses are still the top pick, but carnations, tulips, and lilies give shoppers other choices that won't break the bank or disappear from shelves.

St. Petersburg has 10 shops spread across town. Bloom House Florist & Bazaar at 6700 Central Ave. sells ready-made bunches, houseplants, and DIY bouquets. Green Bench Flowers sits downtown at 10 4th St. N., right next to Schakolad Chocolate Factory, if you need something fast.

Gulf Orchids in Gulfport at 5313 Gulfport Blvd. S focuses on tropical and rare blooms. Jennie's Flowers at 2301 Dr M.L.K. Jr. St. N. and its Tampa spot at 2730 W. Columbus Drive bring farm-fresh picks, whether you want a simple bunch or a full wedding setup.

Little Pond Farm shows up at the Saturday Morning Market at Al Lang Stadium every weekend. Pistil House at 2533 1st Ave. S. mixes flowers with sandwiches and wine.

The Roaming Petal joined Arms of Persephone in 2025, creating one shop at 1506 54th Ave. N. Sharen's Flowers & Gifts handles Treasure Island at 240 107th Ave., while St. Pete Florist at 7112 9th Ave. N carries chocolates, gift baskets, and balloons too.

Tampa has seven main vendors. Artistic Florist of Tampa runs things at 8350 N. Armenia Ave. with curated bunches. Flor + Palma at International Plaza keeps grab-and-go bouquets, dried pieces, and potted plants in stock. The Flower Market at Bayshore copies European markets at 3301 W. Bay-to-Bay Blvd.

Mona's Floral Creations at 4311 W. Kennedy Blvd. stays stocked all year. The Nature Shoppe at 2706 N. Florida Ave. has been around for decades. The Potting Shed at 4127 S. MacDill Ave. puts together arrangements with gift options.

Posies Flower Truck will park at the St. Pete Pier Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This mobile vendor also stops at Armature Works in Tampa daily this week.
