The St. Stefanos Super Greek Festival kicks off Feb. 13-15 at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg. Guests can taste traditional Greek meals, street food, pastries, and sweets across three days.
St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church runs this yearly celebration at 3600 76th St. North. Activities spread both inside and outside.
A new 15,000-square-foot OPA! Party Tent debuts this year. Dancing, live shows, food, and drinks fill the space. Heaters keep things warm, while a second indoor area serves up more eats and fun.
Hours vary by day. Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 run from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday wraps up earlier — 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Check out GRK Street, where vendors sell outdoor bites. GRK Taverna recreates an authentic Greek restaurant inside. Want to learn more? Greek language and dancing lessons happen throughout the weekend, with live music and performances filling the air.
A vendor market operates during the festival. Metaxa pours cocktails and spirits for tasting. Kids get their own zone packed with activities.
Free tickets exist online but in limited numbers. Once those run out, entry costs $3 per day. Children ages 10 and under can enter for free. Active military, law enforcement, firefighters, and armed forces veterans also enter at no charge.
Per I Love the Burg, in the words of the organizers, "At our festival, all are welcome with open arms, and there is truly something for everyone to enjoy and celebrate." The organizers want guests to feel Kefi — a Greek word capturing joy, passion, and enthusiasm all at once. They've mixed Greek food, dance, and fun to create that feeling.
The church throws this festival every year. It's one of St. Petersburg's biggest cultural events, and everyone's invited.
Reservations and tickets can be found on the church website.
