Three Tampa Bay Area Beaches Earn Spots on TripAdvisor’s Top 10 U.S. List

TripAdvisor placed three Tampa Bay beaches among the top 10 in the United States. The rankings stemmed from 12 months of glowing reviews and feedback. Clearwater Beach snagged second place. Siesta Beach claimed sixth. Honeymoon Island State Park rounded out the list at number 10.

These rankings come from the Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best, where fewer than 1% of TripAdvisor's 8 million listings receive such an honor.

Clearwater Beach earned a 4.6 out of 5 rating. Nearly 13,000 reviews poured in. People raved about the sand, waters, and sunsets. Pier 60 draws crowds, while restaurants like Crabby's or Surfside Tabhouse feed hungry beachgoers.

Siesta Beach in Sarasota County landed in sixth position with a 4.7 out of 5 rating from over 8,000 reviews. Wheelchair access makes it easy for everyone to visit. Public transportation runs there. Shops and restaurants sit close by.

"Whether you want to relax or fill your day with activities, Siesta Beach delivers," TripAdvisor said, per WTSP.com. "Kick back on the white sand, go swimming in the clear water, or simply admire the sunset — it's up to you."

Siesta Key Village sits near the shore. Daiquiri Deck and The Lobster Pot serve food. Boca Boutique and Beach Bazaar sell clothes and beach gear.

Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin took the final top 10 spot. Nearly 3,000 reviews gave it a 4.4 out of 5 rating. Dogs can run on the beach. Trails wind through the park, welcoming visitors of all abilities.

"It's easy to find a peaceful spot for swimming or sunbathing at Honeymoon Island State Park," TripAdvisor said.

The Osprey Trail beckons hikers. Pelican Cove works well for kayaking, and fishing happens throughout the grounds.
