Tampa Bay delivers a weekend stacked with major festivals, marquee sports, and live entertainment. Whether you're dancing to indie rock at the Gasparilla Music Festival, celebrating Filipino heritage at PhilFest, soaking in the blues on the St. Petersburg waterfront, or catching a baseball rivalry at Tropicana Field, the region is firing on all cylinders for a weekend that's hard to beat.
Gasparilla Music Festival

The Gasparilla Music Festivalreturns to Tampa for its 14th edition at Meridian Fields, a new 11.5-acre downtown venue. Headliners Mt. Joy, Two Friends, and Gov't Mule lead a lineup of more than 40 acts spanning indie rock, hip-hop, electronic, Americana, and funk. Additional performers include Shakey Graves, Jai Wolf, Drive-By Truckers, Bryce Vine, and GZA. The independent, volunteer-driven festival has been voted Tampa Bay's top festival every year since its 2012 launch.
PhilFest 2026
- What: Tampa celebrates Filipino culture and community
- When: Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Where: Philippine Cultural Enrichment Complex, 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa
- Cost: Advance $8; at-the-gate $12; veterans/children 5 and under are free
PhilFest 2026 marks 30 years of the Philippine Cultural Foundation's signature celebration of Filipino culture, food, and community in Tampa. The three-day festival features live performances, including Yugyugan street dancing, the Tawag ng Tanghalan singing competition, and the Flores de PhilFest Parade. Comedian Rex Navarrete performs on Friday and Saturday, while Filipino American singer and actor Sam Milby headlines a special show by The Filipino Channel on Saturday afternoon. A Philippine Embassy consular outreach program, including a dual citizenship ceremony, runs throughout the weekend.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Original Tampa Bay Blues Festival returns to Vinoy Waterfront Park in St. Petersburg. A winner of the International Blues Foundation's Keeping the Blues Alive Award, the three-day waterfront event features a star-packed lineup headlined by Taj Mahal and the Phantom Blues Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Tab Benoit. Additional performers include Los Lobos, Jimmie Vaughan, Samantha Fish, Tommy Castro, and Jackie Venson. A kickoff party takes place Thursday, April 9, at the Palladium Theater featuring Jackie Venson and GA-20.
